MOUNT VERNON- An estimated 600 area residents attended Praisestock 2024 at Ariel-Foundation Park’s Schnormeier Event Center on Sunday, August 20, 2023. The day was dedicated to joining together to praise God and carry His message into the community, while also raising $1389.29 for Food for the Hungry of Knox County.

Praisestock 2024 featured a morning worship service led by Hospice Chaplain Dave Matos, and the afternoon included worship teams from First Church of the Nazarene, Set Free Ministries, Salvation Army, Covenant Christian Church, Trinity Worship Center and the band Chestnut Ridge. The day concluded with an emotional joint performance of all teams and bands joining voices with “How Great Thou Art, Until That Day”.

Over 20 exhibitors were on-site sharing their mission and Christian ministry, and provided stories, information to the Praisestock attendees.

Financial and logistical support for the day was provided by sponsoring churches Covenant Christian Church, Owl Creek Baptist Church, Trinity Worship Center, Faith Lutheran Church, Set Free Ministries and Salvation Army. Additional support was provided by the food vendors, WNZR, Mount Vernon Arts Consortium, and Ariel-Foundation Park.

Praisestock is directed by a volunteer board of directors in partnership with several local churches and ministries working together to offer our community a day of worship, service and gratitude. Praisestock also provides financial support for Food For the Hungry, and gives a place and time to interact with many essential Christian service ministries.

Praisestock is a 501c3 organization. Your tax-deductible contributions enable us to continue our mission of praising God and supporting those in need. Exhibitors:

We greatly appreciated your help last year with children’s activities at your tables and hope you will be able to do so again this year. Overall, it was a success in the fact that more parents and children visited your tables and gave a greater sense of what our faith-based community has to offer. Your help last year was phenomenal, and we look forward to seeing you there this year.

As part of our marketing campaign we will highlight your organizations when we have received confirmation that you will be joining us August 18th.

  • Please confirm your attendance with an email to myself (beth.staats@gmail.com) for table reservation & interview schedule.
  • Also email James McLaughlin for marketing/promotion of your entity with our marketing promos (jamesmclaughlinohio@gmail.com). Email James your logo, what your organization does/helps ( a couple paragraphs), website & contact information.
  • Also, we would relish any assist that you can offer to Praisestock in our planning phases and other areas; such as The Welcome Table, Children’s AM corner and set up/tear down. We start at 6am with the set -up, and many hands make light work.
  • If you have any questions, concerns or comments please contact us. We are always looking for volunteers and ideas to improve upon Praisestock for a day of praising our Lord as a strong community.
