Roots & Rivers

It’s hard to place a defining genre on the Central-Ohio based band Roots & Rivers – and that’s exactly how they want it.

Incorporating a number of musical influences into their sound, Roots & Rivers exposes their “roots” side with songs such as “Burning for You” and “Wanderlust”, which provide foot-tapping folk rhythms and haunting melodies. “Dancing on the Moon” and “Constellations” then bring out their “rivers” side – with an up-beat, indie-rock feel that even pushes the lines of pop and funk. Singing about childhood memories, temptations, failures, relationships, joy, and aspirations, Roots & Rivers aims to depict in both their musical genre as well as their lyrics a desire to always remember where you’re from (your Roots), while not being afraid to venture into the unknown that lies ahead (your Rivers).
